Hello, everyone! My name is Clickorice, for the purpose of this blog. This is a name I came up with that combines my favorite American Girl pets - Coconut and Licorice - and the word 'click'; I believe this is one of the more clever things I've ever come up with. ;)
I'm a young adult American Girl doll collector. I have been "collecting" (thanks to my mother) ever since I received my first dolls: the historical, Samantha, and the Girl of Today doll #12, who I've named Laura. Today, I have more than a dozen eighteen inch dolls (with more to come, hopefully!).
I've created this blog for a variety of reasons. I wanted a place to extensively review the products I receive/purchase. I wanted a place to write down my analyses and observations of the company's decisions and direction throughout the years. I would like to, at some point, showcase various etsy sellers who make doll clothes and accessories. But ultimately, I wanted a place to record my experiences. American Girl has always had a special place in my heart and imagination, and I would love to attempt to make this feeling tangible to others. It's not just the dolls; the stories, the stores, the accessories, the furniture, and the love and care that goes into each product add to the magic that is American Girl.
